Warnings & Bans
Members are advised to read through the following and make note of the system. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as a reasonable excuse for breaking them.
Warnings will be given for the following:
Quote:
• Signature Rule Violation
• Spam
• Advertising
• Insulting Other Members
• Inappropriate Language
• Inappropriate Thread
* Once a member has received THREE warnings they will be given a 24 hour ban. This ban time will be reviewed by the staff and is subject to change. Depending on the nature of the warnings your ban time may be further extended.
* Warnings will be classed as valid for ONE YEAR after which they will be deleted from your account. Reversed warnings obviously won’t stand against you. Once a ban has been served, the warnings that led to it will be deleted from your account.
If you have an infraction that is a year old, or have been banned for 3 warnings/infractions, and it has not been deleted from your account, please PM an Admin and we will remove it for you. Infractions do not disappear unless they are removed, despite the time allotted on them expiring.
Temporary Bans
Temporary bans vary in length from a few days to a year or longer, depending on the severity of the violation committed and the infraction history of the member.
These can be the result of many things such as:

* Alternative accounts (continued creation of alts may result in a perma-ban)
* 3 warnings/infractions
* Account sharing (1 week for each user)
* Account sharing from a suspended user (Perm ban the user, 2 weeks for the other user)
Permanent Bans
If you are perma-banned, it's because:
Quote:
* You are a banned user, who has been banned multiple times.
* Bot or spamming with advertisements in PM or around the board.
* Posted any type of pornography
* Threatening to hack the Site or Users
* Any other serious offense
Timeouts
* A timeout is basically a temporary ban but they can be given for a much wider range of things. This is normally for 24 hours and is due to behavior that does not merit a longer ban but may serve as a cool down period for the user.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN A WARNING OR BAN UNFAIRLY, CONTACT A MEMBER OF STAFF VIA PM OR IM. DO NOT DRAG IT ONTO THE BOARDS.
